July Flea Market Run Starts Friday

There are some exciting things showing up in the barn at Col. Dick’s Antiques and Collectibles Flea Market this week. You can find it all at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds starting Friday, July 12 at 8am. Saturday morning check out the treasures in the barn and pick up your fresh produce at the farmer’s market before heading home.

With just a handful of trucks unloaded today there were still plenty of goodies to catch my eye, starting with this batch of kids stuff.

This vintage upholstered rocking chair looks great as is, or top it with a slipcover if red is not your shade.

This little red “rocking horse” is really a moose. Pretty darn cute!

Older kids, especially girls, will enjoy a summer afternoon with Nancy Drew.

This child-size white wicker rocker will add charm to any porch or family room.

Child's Cowboy Hat on Historic Route 77

What little cowboy wouldn’t love this little straw cowboy hat? It’s tightly woven and in really great shape.

If you’re not in the market for kids stuff, you won’t be disappointed. There are chairs, side tables, serving carts, dressers, chests, and all sorts of assorted estate remnants to browse through. Plenty to use as is, and lots more ready for updating if that’s your style.

There are two of these gorgeous side chairs.

Serving Cart at Historic Route 77

What about this early American drop leaf serving cart.

Vintage Dresser on Historic Route 77

This vintage dresser caught my eye. Nice. Looks like that mirror laying on top might go with it.

Drop-Leaf Side Table on Historic Route 77

This three-legged side table has three drop leafs. Pull them all up to make a round table top. Adorable.

Trunk on Historic Route 77

For junky treasures check out this steamer trunk…

Metal Suitcase on Historic Route 77

…or this metal suitcase. I love the stripes.

Striped Tea Glasses on Historic Route 77

I spied this set of striped iced tea glasses in a box of kitchen things.

And then I found another set across the barn in a different box. Wish I had a reason—and shelf space—to bring them both home to live with me.

Vintage Heart on Historic Route 77

This little heart was amongst a pile of other items made from handmade quilts.

There was more funky junk, but I’ll save something for tomorrow. There are wrought iron pieces for the garden, a big barrel, a small barrel, enamel ware, mid-century serving pieces and so much more.

Follow this blog to see what turns up next.

What excites you most when you shop for funky junky treasures?
